F Gas Regulations 2010
From the 4th July 2010 technicians involved in the removal and replacement of refrigerant in Air Conditioning Systems are required to achieve the minimum requirement that meets the European Union F Gas (fluorinated greenhouse gas) regulation EC842-2006 and annex EC307-2008. Even if these technicians have been working on these systems for years it will be illegal as of July to continue to work on these systems without the minimum qualification.
There are currently various ways to achieve the relevant qualifications, Riverpark Training has developed a training and assessment process using the IMI Technical Certificate (500/4225/7) and David James of Gwent College Wales has been delivering the underpinning knowledge to assist technicians pass the on-line test. Riverpark assessors have completed the assessment process in the candidates own workshops. This has minimised the time technicians are of the job and combined it with David’s excellent knowledge has achieved a 100% successful pass rate. If you have technicians who require this qualification or are an existing air conditioning technician please contact Riverpark Training on 02890342400 for further details.
