Have been selected to the final four UK Craft Awards finals on the 24th September 2010. These three talented young apprentices were put through two days of rigorous assessment that was this year based on recent world skills tasks. They had to compete against the highest scoring candidates from 6 regional heats held throughout the UK. These 3 young lads were fully supported by Riverpark Training who arranged training out of normal hours prior to attending the Craft Awards and full financial support for flights and travel expenses. Recently we have just learned that both Daniel Matheson and Gary Greer have been attending assessment for the UK World Skills Team 2011.
Riverpark Training VDA and ATA Up-Date
Riverpark Training has formed working partnerships with Pro-Assess and Thatcham Nuneaton, this is to develop the training and assessment required for Body-Shops Estimators to gain VDA part A and B. This training identified a gap between where the industry is at present, carrying out assessments on demand to where they need to be to achieve Vehicle Damage Accreditation.
To date, 24 Estimators have completed the rigorous training and are now ready for assessment to gain their VDA qualification. Extra training has been laid on by Riverpark Training on Saturday mornings to help these candidates prepare for the assessment.
Colin Hagan and David Frizell of Riverpark Training also undertook the training and intend to complete Part B in before the end of the year. Colin has also completed his I.A.E.A. Insurance Engineers exams with Belfast Metropolitan College this year and is now a member of the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors. This will assist Riverpark Training get the assessors in place so they can facilitate this qualification next year.
Senior ATA in Paint, MET and Panel has been intense over the summer months with the daily addition of new candidates. Most candidates have now opted for training, prior to assessment and this has improved success rates.
FGas courses have also been highly sought after in July and August with 40 candidates successfully gaining this qualification. These courses are still available but require booking, as Riverpark Training uses a leading expert in this field, to deliver the training.
Riverpark Training is now the only training facility in Northern Ireland with the ability to deliver the complete training requirements for Bodyshops to achieve PAS 125. For details on how to meet these industry standards please contact Riverpark Training on 02890342400.
